Rant: I stuck with one city for 6 months versus moving every month

The longer stay let me get a real local rate on my apartment in Medellin, about 40% less than the monthly Airbnb price. It also meant I could actually build a routine and get work done. Has anyone else found a sweet spot for how long to stay in one place?

Yeah, saw a blog post that said the three month mark is where you stop feeling like a tourist. Makes sense for getting those local deals too.

Three months might help, but it takes way longer to stop feeling like a tourist. You need to know where the locals actually shop, not just the spots near the main square.
