Shoutout to the boss who thinks we're all in the same time zone
I had a big project due, and my boss set a call for midnight my time. He never asked if that was fine with me. This stuff happens WAY too much with remote teams. Firms should care where their staff are living. It's just common sense.

What gets me is when they mess up time zones, it actually hurts the work. Like if you need quick answers from someone sleeping, stuff just stalls. @dakota_barnes12 that's probably why her friend's project felt so messy.

Just absolutely wild that someone would call a 2 AM meeting "critical." That word should mean it's a true emergency, like the building is on fire, not some review that could wait until sun-up. Waking someone up in the dead of night for that shows a total lack of respect (who does that?). It basically says their sleep and personal time have zero value. No wonder she left, that kind of chaos shows a broken company culture.

My friend's old manager scheduled a CRITICAL review for 2 AM her time, assuming the whole team was on East Coast hours. She had to wake up in the dead of night for a project that wasn't even urgent. The total disregard for her sleep schedule was just baffling. She actually left that job because the time zone chaos never stopped.
