Tried a coworking space in Medellin for a week, then just worked from cafes

I paid $120 for a monthly coworking pass but found the cafe scene on Calle 10 way more productive for my writing gig. The space felt too quiet and forced, while the background buzz in a good cafe actually helped me focus. Anyone else ditch the official setup for something more casual?

Yeah but I see where drew_bennett24 is coming from, a cafe is a roll of the dice. At least the coworking space has reliable wifi and you don't have to fight for an outlet.

Classic. You basically paid for a library when the free coffee shop soundtrack was better.

Free coffee shop soundtrack" is a nice way to say you're at the mercy of someone else's bad playlist or a sudden rush of screaming kids. At a coworking space, the whole point is a controlled environment. You're paying to remove those random annoyances. It's not about the wifi, it's about the guarantee of quiet when you need to actually think. That's worth the money if your time has any value.
