Tried coworking spaces vs coffee shops for three weeks, coworking won by a mile

I've been bouncing between coffee shops and coworking spaces since I started nomading six months ago. Last month I decided to actually compare them properly. I spent two weeks working from a coworking spot in Chiang Mai and one week at a local coffee chain. The coffee shop cost me like $3 a day for a drink, which adds up to about $60 over two weeks. The coworking space was $100 for a whole month pass. But the real difference was wifi stability and power outlets. At the coffee shop I had to hunt for plugs and the wifi dropped twice when I was on a client call. At the coworking space I just sat down and everything worked. Plus I met a guy who gave me a lead on a freelance gig making social media graphics. Has anyone else tried comparing specific setups like this? I'm curious if hostels with coworking areas stack up the same.

Coffee shop wifi is playing roulette with your paychecks, coworking spaces remove that gamble.

Isn't it funny how something as small as a stable internet connection can totally change your whole day? I've had that moment where the coffee shop wifi drops right in the middle of a video call and you just freeze, hoping nobody noticed. It's like you're paying for the coffee but also paying with your stress levels, you know? Coworking spaces take that whole headache off the table, even if they cost a bit more upfront. Really makes you appreciate a solid connection when you've been burned by spotty cafe networks before.
