Worst 48 hours in Bali last month wrecked my whole schedule

I landed in Ubud thinking I'd knock out a week's worth of client work from this cute coworking spot I found on Instagram. Day one my laptop charger died and the only shop that had a replacement sold me a fake that sparked out after 10 minutes. Then the WiFi at my villa went down for 16 hours during a monsoon, and I had to hike to a cafe in the rain to submit a project at 2 AM. Lost the client actually, they said my response time was too slow. Has anyone else had a whole remote work trip fall apart from one tiny thing snowballing?

Man, that's brutal. I swear that's just how life works sometimes, one little thing goes wrong and it's like a domino effect that takes down everything else. I've noticed this pattern where we plan for the big stuff but forget how fragile all the small pieces are that hold it together. It's like you think you're prepared but really you're just one dead laptop charger away from disaster. Hope your next trip goes way smoother, you definitely earned it after that mess.

@keith_rivera19 isn't a bad idea though, didn't you back up your work before you left?

Sounds like @keith_rivera19 hit it, a dead charger is all it takes to wreck a whole backup plan.
