Discovered that salting sliced tomatoes and letting them sit for 10 minutes before adding to sandwiches keeps the bread from getting soggy

My lunch sandwiches always turned into a wet mess by noon until I tried this trick last Tuesday, has anyone else found a simple fix that actually makes a difference in their daily cooking?

Oh yeah, paper towels under the tomatoes works too if you're in a rush.

Well that salting trick works but I'm curious about something. When you do the paper towel method, do you find the tomatoes lose some of their flavor or is that just me? I tried blotting them once and my sandwich tasted kind of flat compared to when I let the salt draw out the moisture slowly. My husband says I'm overthinking it but I swear there's a difference in taste. What kind of bread are you using? That might matter too because some breads hold up better than others regardless of what you do to the tomatoes.
