Why does nobody talk about how microwaves ruin leftover pizza texture
I microwaved a slice of last night's homemade pie and it came out rubbery and sad. Six months ago I started using my toaster oven instead, setting it to 375 for about 8 minutes. The crust gets crispy again and the cheese bubbles just right. Everyone I know still nukes their pizza and wonders why it tastes like cardboard. Am I missing something or do people just prefer the soggy version?

Yeesh, I bet it's the cold moisture trapping steam that does it. I heard some people wrap the slice in a paper towel for 15 seconds before microwaving, it pulls out the extra wetness.
